Shocked by the fantastic scenario and soft, pleasant voice, I fall in love in the song with love story immediately when I turned the channel to a MTV. Later I saw the song again in same channel but still had no idea about the any information of the song. It was not expected that I finally got the name when I surfed the Internet trying to find something filling my empty body. It was in the top page of most popular songs of Youtube video. Then I listened to the song once again. It attracted me so much and seemed that I would never be boring even if I kept listening again and again.

The story presented in the music video is impressive. It starts in a college, with large field of grass, a girl, armed with several books, walking along a quiet straight road. A handsome boy seating himself under a tree comes into her eye. He is no more than a normal college boy, having rest and sit on the grass, alone, with only books in his hand. Suddenly, flashback jumped into her mind. It is such a vigorous scene that prevents her to recall any clear memory. But still, she realized something totally different, it is all about the man who sitting in front of her under a tree. The face is so familiar that makes her believe they met, been acquainted and even fell in love during some time in the previous life.

That life was in the middle century. They first met in balcony, she felt something special at the first glance when she saw he coming from the crowd. Flashback starts when she closes her eyes. After that, they went closer as time passing. Unfortunately, her father dislike the man, ordered him to leave the girl, so as to stop their relationship. Her father failed to do so because her daughter also loved the man so much and waited for him. Finally, the man came back to see her. They would probably start new lives. At the end of the song, video turned to the current world. Still in the quiet and green college, they stood still, face to face. Neither of them said a word, but they seemed to get acquainted enough, just like lovers, been known for couple of years. It stops at the final scene a heart-to-heart kiss.

I noticed that some culture elements planted inside the song. A fact lied in the usage of lovers’ name. One is called Romeo and the other is Juliet. It is from a famous play of William Shakespeare, Romeo and Juliet. So, it seems to be a culture tradition that Romeo and Julie’s will be very romantic but be against by girl’s father. Another element is the scene they play with a white horse. It will be clear if we argue the color of the horse, white horse might be a random selection by no intentions. However, any other color used here will make people feel uneasy that any horse other than a white one undermines the story. I am also exited by the dresses (ball gown) and activities in the ball. It is a bright side of entertainment of western lives.

At last, I want to ask my self, what and how does a story attract people? Is it because of the culture elements? I believe so. The real charm of this song might be that, it rouses some memory that hidden deeply in the mind, it touches something inside the heart and plants special affections with no trail.
